Magdy has over 27 years experience as an Accountant. Starting his career with Mirvac Projects in 1994, Magdy quickly learned the importance of providing accurate information in a timely manner to ensure the company met its objectives.

Having gained valuable experience in mid-tier Chartered Accounting firms, Magdy decided to venture out on his own to establish his own firm “Marcos Advisory”. The company has grown since its humble beginnings to be the firm of choice for SME’s.

Magdy’s philosophy is to be “hands on” with clients with all aspects of their business. Being an Accountant is only a small part of what a client wants today, they need an Advisor. With two Sydney CBD locations, one in Martin Place and another in Parramatta, clients have the option to attend a location that suits them. Magdy’s expertise is International Taxation, advising clients on the impacts of their cross-border transactions as well as the impacts on expats working in Australia and abroad. Magdy holds a Masters Of International Taxation from Sydney University as well as a Bachelors degree from the University of Technology Sydney.

Anu has been working for Marcos Advisory since 2016 and is from Jaffna, Sri Lanka. She is a qualified Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) and has worked in chartered accounting practices for over 13 years. She is always keen to assist clients in keeping up with their compliance obligations and to get the best taxation results for them.
Although Anu specialises in Self-Managed Superfunds, she also has extensive experience in providing bookkeeping, accounting & taxation services and advice to small businesses.

Kelvin Tu is from Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam and joined Marcos Advisory in October 2017. He is a qualified member of Chartered Accountants and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Masters in Accountancy form Western Sydney University. He provides taxation and accounting services, as well as advises on business structure and tax optimisation strategies. Kelvin’s 4 years of experience in accounting, along with his qualifications, enhances his ability to help our clients achieve their financial goals.

Sylvia completed her original study by achieving a Bachelor in Business majoring in Accounting. After nearly ten years working in management accounting in various companies, Sylvia became fascinated with helping individuals & small companies find strategies for growth & wealth creation. This opened up the door to some interest in studying further to qualify her to become a Financial Planner.

With over 18 years’ experience within the Accounting and Financial Planning fields this has given Sylvia a real advantage when meeting with clients as not only does Sylvia understand the financial planning aspect but the accounting and tax implications as well.

Sylvia’s role as a Financial Advisor is to advise professional individuals on investment strategies, risk management, transition to retirement and super accumulation plans. Sylvia has written & managed over $7 Million dollars in Managed Funds in different market conditions.

Being an independent Financial Planner allows Sylvia to access many products in the market without being limited to a particular product list. This allows Sylvia to provide the right product that suits the client’s exact needs rather than an institutional financial adviser that is limited to a particular product list.

Cassandra Davis is from Sydney and Joined Marcos Advisory in 2007. She has been working in the Accounting Industry for 20 years. Business bookkeeping is Cassandra’s speciality, though her work spans a variety of individual and business duties. Cassandra is the perfect person to assist our clients with everything from business set-up, to payroll. Her approach to record keeping makes ongoing compliance a breeze.

Mike Li joined Marcos Advisory in early 2020, he provides wide-ranging general accounting services to clients, with a particular focus in the field of tax preparation for individuals, as well as financial reporting for trusts and small to medium size organizations. Mike also has a keen interest in working with clients in creative industries, such as data analytics solutions. Mike holds a Master of Commerce (Accounting and Quantitative Finance) from the University of Sydney.

Catherine Cattermole is from Berkshire, England and joined Marcos Advisory in early 2019. She takes care of the finance needs of our existing and new clients; ensuring that they are always getting the best deal. Catherine’s experience in both residential and commercial finance makes the process simple and stress-free for our clients. She works closely with our panel of Residential, Asset finance, and Commercial lenders, which guarantees that our clients are placed with the institution that best compliments their individual needs.

Melissa is from Santa Barbara, California and joined Marcos Advisory in January 2020. She is in charge of our administrative work, including scheduling meetings with clients and between team members. She also coordinates communications between clients and our team: ensuring clients receive the fast and accurate response necessary. Additionally, Melissa oversees payments, including the preparation of invoices, purchase orders, and statements.
